Office III - Emergency Infrastructures Planning:

  1. coordinates the activities of the Department in relation to the development of organizational models and procedures to ensure the implementation of housing settlements and school and university facilities in emergency;
  2. coordinates the activities of the Department in relation to the development of organizational models and procedures to ensure the continuity of economic activities, production, agriculture, fisheries and livestock, socio-cultural and public functions in emergency;
  3. plans and programs technical solutions in the areas of competence referred to in letters a) and b);
  4. coordinates the action of the Department, in the areas of competence referred to in letters a) and b), with the components and operational structures of the National Service of Civil Protection and with the independent authorities and competitors under Article 13, paragraph 2, of the Civil Protection Code.

The Emergency Housing Unit is responsible for:

  1. development of organizational models and procedures for technical activities for the implementation of restoration measures for damaged structures and infrastructure, public and private, and the damage to the economic and productive activities, cultural heritage and buildings;
  2. design, planning and implementation of technical investigations for preliminary investigation for prompt and effective assessment on the impact of an emergency event, propaedeutic to the eventual declaration of a state of emergency by the Council of Ministers;
  3. design, planning and implementation of technical monitoring and verification activities of the implementation of the intervention plans of the Commissioners Delegate, through inspections, until the end of the state of emergency.

The Emergency School and University Facilities Unit is responsible for:

  1. development of organizational models and procedures for technical activities of impact assessment and damage survey;
  2. design, planning and implementation of technical activities to support the Administrations and competent bodies in the protection of cultural property in emergency situations
  3. coordination with national components and operational structures, and in particular with Regions, Autonomous Provinces and relevant Ministries, for the areas mentioned in points 1 and 2.

The Territorial Continuity Unit deals with:

  1. design, planning and implementation of the technical activities of monitoring and verification of the activities of incumbent parties at the cessation of states of emergency, for the continuation of planned interventions not completed, until the end of the closure of the Special Accounting;
  2. design, planning and implementation of technical activities to support the management of administrative, legal and litigation aspects related to interventions under the Department's responsibility carried out during emergency situations that have returned to ordinary.
  3. coordination with national components and operational structures, and in particular with Regions, Autonomous Provinces and relevant Ministries, for the areas mentioned in points 1 and 2.
