The Human and Instrumental Resources Office:

  1. supervises activities related to human resource management and occupational health and safety protection;
  2. coordinates the Department's efforts to implement measures aimed at ensuring strategic planning and internal control;
  3. handles the ongoing management of general operating services of the Department, including the car park, and its operational offices;

The Personnel Management Unit is responsible for:

  1. development of organizational models and procedures for personnel management, including in emergency situations;
  2. personnel management, assignment of tasks, consultancies and activities connected with trade union relations;
  3. design, planning and implementation of activities relating to staff health surveillance.

    The General Operating Activities Management Unit deals with:

    1. design, planning and implementation of activities relating to services, supplies and works concerning the Department's operations;
    2. support for activities outside the departmental offices concerning services and supplies for the Department's operations in emergencies;
    3. management of buildings, vehicles and departmental and operational offices, also to implement the provisions on the safety of personnel in the workplace, with specific reference to support to the Prevention and Protection Service Manager (RSPP) for the definition of Risk Assessment Documents for activities both on and off the Department's headquarters as well as the identification and provision to personnel of the relevant PPE.

      The Strategic Planning and Internal Control Unit is responsible for:

      1. design, programming and implementation of tools for the Department's strategic planning and monitoring process and for the mapping of lines of activity and the organisation of internal processes;
      2. management of the application of the system for measuring and evaluating the performance of managerial and non-managerial staff;
      3. relations with the Office of Internal Control of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers in relation to strategic planning, evaluation of the performance of managerial and non-managerial staff, and supervision of the tools provided.
