From October 18 to November 15, Montalto Uffugo will host the exhibition on seismic risk, highlighting knowledge, memory, and experience through documents, photos, and videos

It is scheduled from October 18 to November 15, 2025, at the former Fincalabra-Invitalia headquarters located at Via Aristide De Napoli, 19 - Pianette. The exhibition aims to raise awareness and provide visitors with insights into one of the most significant natural risks affecting our country: seismic risk.
\nTerremoti d'Italia will be open to the public from Monday to Saturday, from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM and from 3 PM to 6 PM, with free admission. For all relevant information and to see the program of meetings and panel discussions related to the exhibition, please visit the website.
\nThe exhibition aims to encourage citizens, particularly young people, to engage actively in prevention efforts. The tour, led by volunteers from the Lares Italia association, is organized into several sections. It begins with an introduction to the physical phenomenon of earthquakes and the instruments used to measure their strength. It then explores the history of seismic activity in our country and the associated risks, addressing topics such as the vulnerability of cities and buildings, measures for making homes safer, and recommended behaviors to adopt before, during, and after an earthquake. The tour concludes with two seismic simulators designed to replicate earthquake movements.
\nIn the seismic room, visitors can safely experience an earthquake and observe its effects firsthand.
\nThe communication campaign I don't take risks of the Civil Protection Department focuses on promoting good civil protection practices. This initiative is an integral part of the exhibition, where volunteers from Calabria will engage with visitors to discuss the natural risks that affect their territory.
\nThe exhibition \"Terremoti d’Italia\" is designed to be accessible to everyone, featuring simple language, a multidisciplinary approach, and an interactive method. Reducing seismic risk in our country requires the involvement and commitment of all individuals.
